A fundraiser for the benefit of the local community and school scholarships sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hawaii Kai

The Rotary Club of Hawaii Kai's renowned fundraiser, the Ducky Dash, is back for 2022.  Funds raised from the Ducky Dash will support many Hawaii Kai projects that benefit the community. Our primary focus is to raise money for SCHOLARSHIPS, for both local High School students and adults returning to college. These last two years have been a tough challenge for many students and the money raised will help deserving students afford their school's tuition, laptops, notebooks, and textbooks in a time where money is slim and virtual learning is imminent. The more funds we raise, the larger the positive impact we can have in our community.

This will be our club's 7th Annual Ducky Dash race and it will be held on June 11, 2022.  We have been around since 1973 and this is our largest event. In years past, a big event was held at the Hawaii Kai Towne Center and we hosted several vendors, games, live music and our duck dash race in the water behind the center.  The event this year will be virtual and presented on our social media platforms. One of our bright members, Jerry Brennan, actually recreated the duck dash through coding on his computer. So the duck dash will be run through a computer game so that the winning ducks will be randomly generated to determine the winners. Our virtually simulated Duck Dash race will determine the winners of some awesome prizes like a 4 night stay in the California Hotel in Las Vegas, a snorkeling charter boat cruise in Waikiki, and more! Each duck can be adopted for $5 and will be entered into the race.   Please visit our fundraising page on GIVSUM (https://www.givsum.com/opportunities/rotary-club-of-hawaii-kai-ducky-dash-2022-f506bfd7f) to adopt your ducks or simply donate! In preparation for this annual event, which attracts a lot of attention, we are seeking cash sponsors ranging from $500 to $3,000, but we also welcome valuable in-kind prize donations. Sponsorship Form. These donations will be used as prize packages for the winners.
